Aerospace Dynamics International, Inc. (ADI) manufactures machined parts and assemblies for the commercial and military aerospace industries. It offers structural components, caps, panels, bulkheads, fittings, longerons, spars, chords, wing ribs, thrust reversers, structural machine parts, manufacturing tooling and stretch form blocks.
ADI was acquired by PCC in April 2014. The company has received significant capital investments since the acquisition and has a highly positive growth trajectory ahead. Comprising seven facilities on its campus in Valencia, CA, ADI has over 700 full-time employees on staff.
Level three quality inspectors will work independently to serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for mechanical, assembly or CMM inspection. They will demonstrate an extensive knowledge of GD&T methods. They will also demonstrate expert level blueprint reading and manufacturing/inspection related math skills. Level three inspectors read and interpret results of inspections to determine product conformance. These individuals will also have enough knowledge of manufacturing process to provide feedback on ways to improve product quality. Level three inspectors will also demonstrate advanced knowledge in AS9102 reporting and have the ability to create reports independently. This position typically requires 4-6 years of experience.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Support the site by serving as a SME in mechanical or assembly inspections or as a CMM inspector.
Evaluate non-conformance issues and provide feedback for corrective actions.
Independently create AS9102 reports as needed.
Advanced competencies in shop math and GD&T comprehension and application.
SME in CMM operation or Mechanical Assembly Inspection processes.
Advanced competencies using a wide range of inspection tools and processes.
Computer proficiency in required software (MS Suite, CATIA, PC-DMIS, etc.)
This position requires evidence of successfully mastering level two competencies and at least three years of experience in the aerospace industry.
