OUR CULTURE AND VALUES

The Corporate Culture At PCC

Precision Castparts Corp. is a world-class, global organization dedicated to be the high-quality, low-cost and on-time manufacturer for all of its product lines, delivering the highest value to its customers and shareholders, and continually pursuing strategic, profitable growth.

Our production facilities operate as their own business unit, squarely focused on continuous improvement – quarter after quarter, year after year. These plants employ time-tested manufacturing tools to meet this objective. Each quarter, PCC’s CEO and segment component presidents review the operational results to identify opportunities for cost reduction and improved performance. There is always opportunity. PCC adheres to high standards in the manufacture of high-quality products that meet the specifications of its sophisticated customer base.

Our employees excel in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment that rewards performance and results. PCC challenges each individual to reach their full potential by demanding continuous improvement and increased decision-making and authority. We are committed to recruiting, training, and promoting employees who rise to these challenges.

All PCC employees share accountability to maintain the highest legal and ethical standards. Performing with integrity is a way of life and vital to the company’s success. The PCC Code of Conduct is actively enforced at all facilities worldwide. This includes preserving a safe and secure workplace for all employees and visitors.

As a good corporate citizen, PCC contributes to numerous causes, with a focus on educational programs and community involvement to assist youth at risk. Individual manufacturing facilities are also encouraged to support local charities within their communities.

OUR PEOPLE

“As with all projects within the PCC Management Development Program (MDP), I had a tremendous amount of responsibility. I was always expected to meet or exceed the desired outcome. In Huntington, my main MDP project was to be the chief designer on a $2M project which is now fully implemented.”

Blake, MDP Graduate, Manufacturing Superintendent

“It would be hard to find an early career opportunity that offers more responsibility and exposure to operations and technical disciplines than PCC’s Management Development Program.”

Nick, MDP Graduate, Isothermal Forge Press Supervisor

“I love the incredible diversity of career paths we have at PCC. There are no dead ends. We are fast paced and demanding, so this is not for everyone. But, for me, I thrive on the energy and opportunity to grow my career and our business at the same time.”

Lynn, Div. Director of Sales and Marketing

“As a member of the TDP, I have had the chance both to connect with colleagues across the corporation, giving me a sense of camaraderie and community, and to meet many key resources in our businesses, greatly improving my ability to troubleshoot and remedy issues.”

Rachel, TDP Participant, IGT Engineer

“I started at PCC as an intern from Oregon State University while pursuing my degree in Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering. During that six-month internship, I quickly found out that PCC had all I was looking for to develop both as an engineer and as a leader.”

Logan, TDP Participant, Cost Reduction Leader

“PCC’s mentor system helped to ensure I was using my full potential. I also like the fact that I was given responsible tasks right from the start, and I felt valued and important throughout my entire assignment.”

Polly, Former PCC Intern, Entering MDP (UK)

“The challenge of making products each day is great and the metrics in place provide visibility of performance. It motivates me to want to continuously improve my areas of responsibility.”

Jamil, MDP Graduate, Production Supervisor

“I have had great opportunities to develop my career at PCC. As a co-op through college, I developed my passion for manufacturing and operations. After graduation, I was hired into the MDP, where I learned how every segment of PCC works. Now, as a full-time manufacturing supervisor, I enjoy applying all my experience and knowledge to impact our daily operations and overall performance.”

Danielle, Co-Op, MDP Graduate, Manufacturing Supervisor

“Through the FDP, I have really learned business on multiple levels; especially in the financial and operational fields. One of my rotations included recreating the daily FLEX and managing the data that drives everyday decisions at a deeper level.”

Steve, FDP Graduate, Cost Accountant/Analyst

TIPS ON APPLYING

Using our online application system, you can search for current vacancies, upload your resume and add attachments such as a cover letter. If we don’t have your ideal vacancy, then you can set up a job alert that will notify you by email when we do.

Please read the criteria carefully, we have tried to keep the job requirements as broad as possible, but if we are asking for a certain attribute, it means you would struggle to do the job without it.

We are looking for well-rounded people, so also include what you do outside work or study. For the MDP and FDP, we are also searching for evidence of leadership potential and of making things happen through others. Do not forget to add suitable examples to your application.

Try to keep your resume short while providing enough detail to give us a taste of what you would like us to know about you.

Make sure we have your contact details. Our interview processes tend to move quickly, so please give us an email address that you review daily.

By submitting an application, you are agreeing that your details may be held, processed and transferred electronically or manually by or to any PCC entity (or third party working on their behalf) whether in the USA, the UK, Europe or elsewhere in order to process your submission or advise you of future opportunities.
