PCC serves the aerospace, power, and general industrial markets. In addition, the company is the leading producer of airfoil castings for the industrial gas turbine market. It manufactures extruded seamless pipe, fittings, forgings, and clad products for power generation and oil & gas applications; commercial and military airframe aerostructures; and metal alloys and other materials to the casting and forging industries.
WHAT WE DO
Precision Castparts Corp. is one of the world’s leading suppliers to the aerospace (civil and military) and power generation industries. We manufacture complex metal components that have a wide variety of applications, especially in engines and airframes. These range from turbine blades for the hottest part of the jet engine to large wing ribs for the A380 to the fasteners that secure the wings to the fuselage and hold the plane together. Such critical applications leave no room for error. We insist on quality for our materials and processes, but also for our people.
As the aerospace market comes out of recession, we are poised for a strong recovery. However, we don’t just rely on this industry. We are also strengthening our presence in the power generation field with products ranging from industrial gas turbine components to extruded seamless pipe for power stations.

OUR HISTORY
Precision Castparts Corp. has been headquartered in Portland, Oregon, since its launch more than 60 years ago. The business has grown from a small manufacturer of investment castings to a Fortune 500 company producing investment castings, forgings, and fasteners for aerospace, power, and general industrial customers. This growth is the result of increased market share, expansion into new end markets, and strategic acquisitions.
Over the course of its history, the company has been led by just three chief executive officers: Ed Cooley, Bill McCormick, and Mark Donegan. Each has made significant contributions to make Precision Castparts what it is today; one of the foremost manufacturing companies in the world.
