Co-op and Development Opportunities
Co-ops and Internships
Undergraduates
PCC offers programs for early identification of key talents that support our business. Co-ops and interns apply principles learned in school to hands-on situations, identify areas of process improvement and cost reduction for assignments, attend training sessions, and participate on project teams. This allows for working on specifications provided to meet project goals and objectives in a timely and accurate manner—receiving progressive responsibility as they meet goals.
Internships are an excellent way to get experience within PCC and provide insight as to whether a development program would be right for them following graduation. Co-op & Intership Overview

00:04 There's a lot of fast-paced learning. One day I'm sitting in the engineering office and the next day I'm on the production floor, and they're saying there's a team of 25 people and you'll be the floor supervisor. The next day I'm in the line log presenting my reports to management, being asked tough questions. There's nobody holding your hand, and that really accelerates your growth. I think every single day coming in, that's the expectation—that you know you're an MTP, but the expectation isn’t any less.
00:30 I really like the corporate finance aspect of things, but I really wanted to learn about manufacturing—especially aerostructures or car manufacturing—because I'm really interested in knowing how the mechanics of things work. So when I saw that PCC had a development program in finance that’s tied to manufacturing, I really liked the overall aspect of things. So I applied right away, and it's been a great opportunity ever since I landed the role.
01:04 We just did a project where we completely redesigned the grind department and are bringing in seven new machines. To be able to see the outcome of something that we worked on is pretty amazing.
01:28 Right now, I'm actually working on a cross-functional team with IT, finance, and operations. I not only get to bring my own knowledge from my university and internship experience but also learn from people in different roles. That has been a really cool experience so far.
01:44 My biggest goal when I joined the program was to figure out where I actually want to be. Since this program gives you both sides—you get the engineering aspect and the management and supervisor aspect—you can figure out where you want to be in the job. It’s also about where you want to live in the world. That’s what this program is all about.
02:00 My favorite part about the Information Technology Development Program is being exposed to a lot of different parts of the business, as well as being able to develop my technical skills. I’ve been able to work on PCC tech support, frontend and backend web development, all the way up to ERP.
