Development Programs

New Grads/Early Career Programs

PCC has development programs designed for recent college graduates in areas critical to our business. These development programs provide participants with hands on exposure to various roles at multiple sites and business units over the course of a two-year, four rotation schedule that takes place within the US and Canada.

The MDP provides training in leadership, lean manufacturing, six sigma, problem-solving and financial analysis with application opportunities in manufacturing engineering, continuous improvement and direct supervision. Learn more

Mid-Career Programs

PCC offers career advancement, training, and development to current employees who aspire to continue learning and taking on additional responsibility. These programs are open to those employees who demonstrate strong performance on the job, positive organizational citizenship and a strong work ethic.

The TDP is a division-run program open to current employees in a technical or engineering function. The program is designed to give engineers an opportunity to develop a stronger expertise in technology, commercial programs, and customer interaction. TDP participants develop a two-year training matrix and quarterly goals to accelerate their learning. They are also exposed to special technical events and mentoring.

The CDP is designed to identify and develop our top sales and marketing professionals. The CDP builds a pipeline of sales talent and supports strategic succession planning in commercial areas such as: Account Management, Marketing and Strategy, New Business Development, and Technical Sales. The CDP is led by a Corporate Steering Committee and open for any PCC employee within a Business Development or Sales function to be nominated to the program. Learn More

Executive Career Programs

PCC recognizes that advanced training and development is key as individuals take on more strategic roles that influence the company and set the tone for the rest of the organization.

The GMDP identifies and prepares high potential operations leaders for a General Manager role. The GMDP consists of structured learning opportunities, executive-level interactions, networking, one-on-one coaching and an individual development plan. Instruction is provided by PCC Executives, Leadership Alliance and the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business. Learn More

The EDP provides leadership training for high performing General Managers to prepare them for higher levels of responsibility at PCC. The EDP is a one-week intensive training session held annually at the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business. The curriculum is presented by recognized experts in fields of Finance, Leadership, Negotiation and Business Acumen. Learn More
